Doel van de functie

• Nextmune is looking for a Lab Technician to coordinate and undertake a variety of laboratory
procedures as part of Nextmune’s allergy developments in IgE serology testing. This is a new
position within Nextmune Netherlands and a great opportunity to take ownership over a new
and revolutionary test in veterinary medicine.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in similar functions. He/She will be well-trained to
maintain lab equipment, safety and quality procedures. Passionate and driven by accuracy and
attention to detail.
• Nextmune’s goal is to enhance lab procedures and succeed in producing reliable and important
results that can be used to make a difference in the allergy field.

Taken en verantwoordelijkheden

• Receiving, labeling and safely storing samples to be tested
• Logging samples data into Nextmune’s management system
• Determining, preparing testing machines and performing tests
• Manage and replace reagents
• Recording tests and analyses and then reporting the results
• Discussing and answering any questions regarding the results
• Organizing and storing samples, reagents and any other substances used in accordance with all
safety and other requirements to ensure the safety of personnel and integrity of the sample
• Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment
• Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs
• Manage stock levels and order laboratory supplies
• Due to the oscillation of number of samples to be tested along the year, during potential nonbusy times, support other departments with multiple tasks

• Experience in handling biological samples is a plus
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication in both Dutch and English language and teamwork skills
• Understanding of electronic and computerized equipment in laboratories
• Able to follow instructions and strictly follow procedures
• Organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work autonomously and under pressure
• Flexible and eager to learn and be involved
